I was banned because i told them Jerri Spurrier is looking at the housing market in the Lincoln area. This happened yesterday. I am almost positive that Spurrier will be our next head coach. I will copy and paste the email she got, etc when she gets home
What board?  I want to keep track. Cheesy

Hi all.  I'm a 50 yr old female Husker fanatic - Live, breath, die Huskers.  My dad was a coach at Hastings Coll so knew TO and FS.  So I was born a Big Red supporter.

I have watched this team go downhill along with the rest of HuskerNation and last Sat. I felt as if my best friend had died.  It hurt that much to see those kids flounder around on the field looking lost and hopeless.  I could not imagine what the 97 team must have felt.

I found this board from a link off of another board - it's great!

My father died 1 mo before FS was fired and so I am grateful that he didn't have to witness this sad, sad state of affairs.  I have been calling for SP's head for what seems like EVER.

If I lived in Omaha I would surely go to 72nd and Dodge and party tonite. I feel giddy I am so happy.

I guess it is time to get behind those poor guys that looked so lost on the field and let them know we are here for them for the remainder of the season.  They need us all very much right now.

Go Big Red.  The winning tradition lives on.  Thank god this nightmare is over.  Let the healing begin.

I have been lurking 4 or 5 times a week here on BHF for the last 3 years and decided to start voicing my opinion. I have made it out to Lincoln to see 2 games in the past year and have enjoyed my visits immensely. I have really got pumped to see the Sea of Red when I visit the stadium.

I found the board through Facebook last night. Thanks to some refreshing and reading, today has been a good day all around.

To right the ship could be a process, but the ship is at least beginning to be pointed in the right direction.

Hello All!

I have been registered for some time, just don't have a lot of time to post.  However, I read the posts as often as possible.  I am from Nebraska, live in Nebraska, graduated from Nebraska, now I design buildings in Nebraska.

Will be a fan of Nebraska athletics until my dying day!

I found this thread last night through the ill fated big red board.  There was a thread titled "IS THIS TRUE?"  about the rumors.  I quickly searched several sites, and found BHF as the source breaking the rumors.  Huskerpedia was referencing this board so I signed up and joined the chat.  Well before that things got quite a bit heated.  in the original rumor thread, people were basically disbelieving the rumor, and mocking it.  Then there was another thread open to mock the rumor...just poking fun at it.

http://bbs.bigredboard.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=33482

I let something slip about akasarben and freemasonry...hah.  Then at the end of the first page i said "you guys aren't taking this seriously", then it pretty much went downhill from there.  The bush picture posted on huskerpedia came from brb..the one with a phone upside down and the caption "omg theres a rumor on teh internetz!!!1" was in the silly thread...Oh yeah and i gave BHF props in my second post.  The post mocking that thread has apparently been deleted, and i posted there basically that people weren't taking this seriously.  Obviously these people were in lala land and i was in shock to see that the biggest rumor since the solich firing was basically being ignored.

Then someone comes along and makes a new post...Big Red Family or something like that basically makes a well reasoned post saying that the rumors are true, and that we at BRB will just have to accept that...(and ban me if you don't like hearing that).  I jumped to defend him as i believed that the rumor had legs, but it was too late.  The wolves were all over him, and banned a new poster with 2 posts.  Then i was banned without ANY warning...i found out later when i couldn't log in.  I wasn't quite a prolific poster, but i do have my sprees.  Registered since the beginning with about 130 posts at the time of the ban.

M'kay, then i just come here and find the chat room (where the heck is it anyways?)  and just chat away with a few guys that will remain unnamed (but may claim their name..Wink)  as well as KCBugeater.  Chatted with these people till like 3 in the morning, and i finally got my registration email in about then, and here i am.

Soooo anyone that wants to give me *boop* about associating with KCBugeater, it's not my fault, he just happened to be in the chat room!

I'm glad I found this place though.  I had stumbled upon it several times in the past, but for whatever reason i overlooked it as being "not busy enough"...which obviously is not the case today.

Soooo...party at 72nd dodge?

I have been reading posts on BHF for the past 4-5 years and like most of you agree and disagree with many points.  I truly wish I could say I grew up in Neb and my dad and his dad were Husker fans but I can't.  I married into the huskers and my father-in-law grew up watching the Big Red and has told me stories from the 50's, 60's, 70-1997.  I was lucky to be apart of the 1994-1997 seasons as a husker fan.  It has been 13 years now that I have bled RED.  Like most of you I was ready for a change when FS was let go but did not like the SP nor BC.  I have respect for BC but don't believe he fits in nor do I feel he can convert players like TO did especially walk on's.  Things are going to change and what I hope to see is for passion to come back to the power of red.

I've never been banned anywhere.  I've read this forum for a long time but nothing prompted me to join the way the events of the last few days did.

I've even been to some tailgate parties with members of this esteemed forum.  I'm happy to join you.

Hello Everyone,
Thankyou all for the opportunity to join you. After reading through a ton of posts, I can tell we're all family. The way I see it is, if members of "The Nation" have a problem with the Program that's o.k. but don't let any outsiders dis it; It's fine if I thump on my brother but nobody else better try it!

My life-long passion for Husker football began, literally, at my late father's  feet, laying on the floor beside his Lazy Boy watching the '71 NU-OU game. That game is the first memory I have of the Huskers. I was 7 at the time. Every Saturday thereafter, I made sure to be around the radio for kickoff.

On those rare, back then, t.v. games, I'd get pissed at the Old Man, 'cause when the Huskers made a bad play, he'd get mad, jump up and turn off the t.v.; for about 30 seconds, then have me turn it back on. Really surprised he didn't have a massive heart attack during some of those games! Man, he loved the team though.

What's been taking place on the field these past several Saturdays has just torn my guts out. I don't get to go to the games but it's like your best friend getting beat up while you listen on the radio. He's getting pummeled but there's not a damned thing you can do about it.

All I can say is the rest of the conference had better enjoy it now because we won't be down for long.

Anyway folks, I'm a  carpenter, mid-forties, married, father of two.
Glad to be here!
