I got banned from Big Red Board for daring to critize Pederson and the coaching staff. Happy to be here where free thought is encouraged.

New today,  have poked my nose in from time to time.  Good forum.  I belong to a couple others:  Rivals, HP...  I just enjoy a good discussion or read about the Huskers!

Well, this is kinda of emberassing, but.....

I forgot I had registered for this board so many moons ago.

I used to peruse the boards over at HP in a strictly non-pay kinda way.  Last night I saw the link, clicked it, and something kicked in the gears of my addled brain.  I tried what thought was my logon and lo and behold, it worked.

I've had a chance to read a bunch of posts over the last 48 hours and I think I like the vibe here a lot better.  Plus I can post my mindless ramblings, which is a bonus for you all.

Husker born and raised (SE of Hastings) now residing next to the home of the World Champs.
Went through the TO days of 9-3 and climbing the OU mountain! (Dreaded Sooners - now look at them!)
Finally broke through and now - well - it has felt like the last 3 -4 weeks my heart and will have taken a 'artillery barrage - fire for effect'.
Joined a couple of years ago but never posted anything.
Always read the main page of Football on BHF to get to the latest news, etc.
There's nothing like Husker Pride and Heart though - just seem to think though the 'Coaching' has let the talent of this team down.
All I have to see is the look in ML's eyes when BC throws on 3rd & 2 - on a consistent basis.
The D - well - let's just say SOLLY and Chase Daniel are right - nuf said.
Can't wait to read "The rest of this story"!!!!

Oklahoma fan who thinks the college football world is out of balance when we're not both jostling for the national title.

Plus, I find it absolutely eerie the historical parallels between the downfalls of our two programs. We went through one who didn't measure up to the legend - Gibbs - and two idiots - Schnelly and Blake - before we finally righted the ship.

Hey all.

Im a student in Dallas, born in El Paso, Texan my whole life and Husker fan my whole life. My dad graduated from UNL in '81 and Ive known no other color but red (I was brought into this world during the Husker-A&M game in 1988). I spent a semester at UNL and will be going back at some point (hopefully sooner than later due to todays news ).

I found you guys through a link on Facebook last night. I, like everyone else, would like to thank Solly for the best reporting Ive seen in a while!

VCents--nice Tenacious D reference.  Here's hoping Nebraska will embrace a 'Tenacious D' in the years to come.  (Sorry, had to go there.)

I have made it out there a few times, including last week for the OSU game on our way to the State Fair. I also was there 3 years ago for the Western Illinios game...at 3pm today, I sincerely thought that Cape Buffalo was where I had seen the first and last games of the Callahan era. Small chance it still may be true...
