There are 10 returning DTs, no DEs, just DTs. If Baker goes to defense that makes 11. I am sure that Carl and BO can find 4 who want to lights out football. We have a very large group of RFR and Soph. comming back who got very little playing time (I.e. Culbert at LB, Amukamara at CB) and a lot of players will be moved to other positions to take at vantage of thier talent. I think our depth looks very good, especially if
Marlon
goes to the NFL and makes way
for better RBs
. I could care less if a kid has what it takes to play on Sunday, I want kids who can play on Saturday.
I have to state my disagreement with you there. There's a reason why ML was the starting RB this year - and 1700 yards of total offense should give an indication of his value to our offense. He takes good care of the football - hardly ever fumbles - has great hands out of the backfield, and has a very good understanding of the offense. Some of the other backs may have a stronger long-term outlook, but going into next year, if Marlon returns, believe me - he'll be the starter and will get the lions-share of the carries.
Sorry boys. The only thing BC was doing was keeping his 5 star baby happy so he would't swallow another bottle of pain killers. He can't run between the tackels and dosn't have the speed to beat top LBs or Corners to the corner. He goes down with the first hit, and dosn't have the b---s to run over anyone. If he is so good why is he projected to go in the 4th to 6 th rounds of the NFL draft.

It's impossible to know at this point about anyone. The coaching of these kids was so atrocious in every sort of way, that we just simply don't know how good or bad they are. Seriously, they suffered through the tenure of the worst coach in DIA history.
We should see vast improvement next season, if no where else but in attitude.
We play a tougher schedule next season, but I'm still confident we will see significant improvement in the W/L column as well.

Your forgetting Bill Jennings. We have the honor of having 1 and 1A of the worst coach in D1 history. The bookends of 42 years of glory. :x

like the new Bud commercials... DUDE! As in, WTF?
If you have credible inside info to Lucky's incident last year, you should present it better than this. Otherwise, you're crack about pills sounds like a bunch of cr@p.
To support the possibility of your being full of cr@p, several pretty darn good college RB's won't get drafted at all, so to call ML a "mediocre" RB for "only" being drafted in the 4th-6th round is just plain dumb.

Direhard-Before you call someone a classless fool you should check your facts and talk to any journalist who covers Husker sports. He took an overdose of his room mates pain pills, at this point nobody but Marlon knows if it was intentional or not, he was banged up at the time but he was also deeply depressed by John Blake's leaving for NC.
Diehard- you are right the crack about the pills was in poor taste. I apologize to you and any other poster I offended. I also apologize to Marlon, he is after only a kid and kids do dumb things.
