I'm personally thinking that a good record is needed. 9-3 comes to mind, maybe 10-2 if he's truely as good as some think on here with the defense.

What do you think?

he gets time but with next year's schedule I would like to see at least 8 wins.  Bo definitely deserves a full 4-5 years like any other guy we would have hired.

Deserves?  Yes

Get?  No

Remember, this is Nebraska.

He needs to have a winning season and go to a bowl game.  I think that's the usual expectation from my perspective.

We need to play competitive football next year.  Nobody else is waiting around for us.

I realize he'll get a full 4-5 years, but what will the fans do with a 6-6 or 7-5 record. If the schedule is too tough next year then it will be the year after too.

A poor record the next two years will cause many to start jumping ship, and I don't mean just with Bo, I mean husker football.

And recruiting will become even more difficult if we don't win next year.

misery, ku, scum at home .... all four non-conf at home

at OU at TT are tough

at ksucks and isu are not easy

at baylor better be easy

9-3 is a good chance

but bo gets some time ...

plus, he ain't exactly getting the house keys with the cupboards empty

Good post Die Hard. This is the way I feel about it too. A 7-5 or 6-6 record on the other hand! 8O

I still expect us to be a 9+ win team next year.  If we aren't there will be some rumbling but he won't be in jeopardy.

as long as TO is AD, there is no rush, and minimal expectation except to for players to play hard and for BP to run a clean program.  If TO hand picks the AD, BP will get even more time.

I got us ... early ... at 8-4.  We lose to OU, TT both away and we lose to MU, KU at home.  I know, I know, blasphemy ... but it's the new reality.

Nebraska fans have demonstrated that they will not tolerate losing, and TO said a losing record gets you fired.  Hard to understand now why Bo gets a pass from TO if he doesn't succeed.  To say there's no pressure to win right away is unrealistic.

Agree.  Win now or die hard.

yes there is pressure to succeed but there is no way BO gets fired next year.... continuity with the coaching staff was one of TO's concerns, so Im pretty sure whoever the AD is this staff will be given time to turn the ship around.
