why didnt NU offer him a GA position?

Jon Osterhout has been retained. Keith Heckendorf is now the OC for Wagner.
so one of the positions is now open? was heckendorf to be retained before being named wagner's OC?
Its my understanding that both GA would finish their three years. Zac was a simi-GA worked on film like Heckendorf did before he got a field job, then Zac went to the CFL. Now he's at A&M heading for a bright future as a coach.
Being a GA at NU is is a great way to start a coaching career, just ask Albin, Burrows, Stamn, McClure and Heckendorf they all became full time coaches and three of them are Coordinators.
