I know many of you will the college bowls but, for me, I am just not interested without NU in the picture. Gosh, suffering such a miserable season and having a coach tell us how well he was doing...arrrggghh!
I hit golf balls at a practice range today here in Calif. and a native Nebraskan saw my Husker shirt and said, "...well, things can't get worse." Let's hope so and that things get a heck of a lot better.

There was a good article in the Star today about how fans are coping about not going to a bowl game.
You just got to take it day-by-day. It is depressing watching other teams play in a bowl game and you're at home. After the football season, I think many of us will take a long break from this sport until spring practice (and its begun on this board).

I think the worst thing is having to listen to Mushmouth and Herbstriet fawn over USC. The other thing I hate is the way Mushy calls the players by their first name. Juice etc... Please retire.

Nice Avatar. Just a forewarning though, I would take it down now as you will probably get a message to take it down. Trust me, I had the same picture and had it taken down. Good choice in a avatar though!

It sucks not going to a bowl. Thankfully, this won't become a new tradition with Callahan out the door.

Well the bowl match ups haven't been anything very interesting either.
I enjoyed watching Hawaii get smothered after all the Heisman and "undefeated we should be ranked higher" politicking they (or their coach) were doing later in the season though. I think it was exactly the "welcome to the big leagues" they deserved to get. The announcers in that game sticking up for them fighting through "the pressure game after game of going undefeated" was a joke. I'm sorry, If you play no one, but talk about how you should be ranked right up there with the best in the country, and when you get your shot you get demolished... Then you talked yourself right into that well deserved beat-down. (maybe its just me)
I'll enjoy the NC game, I fully expect OSU to get outclassed like the Illini did. Other then that, if I've had a game on its been for background noise while I do something else.

The Hawaii players just seem like a bunch of thugs. They were aholes last night, and last year or the year before they were in several bench clearing brawls. Back to the island with you.

I'm sorry, but losing to Stanford is never, ever excusable, especially for SC. I wish Georgia could've played them, they woulda smacked them down.

I get by connecting the teams to either the big XII or a future opponent or one that we played this year.
I almost, i say almost pulled for Colorado to make the amazing comeback against Bama.
Sooners tonight, then Kansas then Bo so there is usually a connection.
But you're right it's not the same and i could care less about the pros--well maybe a little about the NE streak, tired of hearing about Miami from years ago.
Jan 11th recruits visits and then signing day, still some interesting stuff just down the road.
