Had that been the case, your post would have read  Illinois vs USC in the Rose.......

Football this year is soooooooooooooooooo much better than 2007!

A very good game.  I'm happy for Coach Carr.

I'm a bit confused.  I was (trying to) state that Illinois vs Hawaii and USC vs Georgia would have been more competitive games than what we saw.

Then again, i could be off...

I picked up what you were putting down.  I was adding my own spin that (had the games been as you suggested) Illinois might have trounced Hawaii the same as Georgia did, and perhaps USC makes Georgia look average and thus the the vice versa match up would look like the better games.

Now, I do think that Georgia is better than Illinois, which is to your point, however, like I mentioned USC may be able to make Georgia look average.

I'm was not very high on Hawaii.  They were not in the same class as Boise State last year.  Illinois would probably beat them soundly, however, Hawaii would probably score more points than 10.

Im confused as to why anyone thought Hawaii belonged in a BCS bowl in the first place.  They darned near lost to San Jose State and Washington..Washington was 4 -9.

an absolute joke ... they didn't have a single marquee win, a couple embarrassing wins, and a bunch of decent wins against lower tier teams ...

the BCS is a joke ... they change the rules as they go ... they didn't want to hear the non-BCS teams whining about how BSU beat OU last year, so they got what they deserved, a beat-down of their marquee team ...

BCS is limited by their rules, only two teams per conference.  How about this, if you have a championship game ala B12, SEC, Big East, etc, you get 3 teams in the BCS bowls.

If that happened you would hear the whiners at B11 cry foul.

Oh did anyone notice the lumber used by Wva against one of our own?  They  whupped the sooners.  Stoops must be sliding or it his program has a few distractions?

I'm sorry, but losing to Stanford is never, ever excusable, especially for SC. I wish Georgia could've played them, they woulda smacked them down.

Silly Boy.  Georgia would be knee deep in pecan pie and crying for their mamas after facing USC.  It would be a no contest.  But don't take my word for it ...

this is an excellent point ... if every conf had a playoff and you couldn't do the champ game without winning the conf, that would be playoff in itself ...

saying you only get one or two BCS bids if you don't to punish the kitty-cat B11 and P10 would be a great start ...

raising the bar on ND to force them into a conference would help also ... such as, service academy wins don't count towards the 9-win BCS mark ... or saying ND must be ranked top 10 to be eligible ... that'd force the prima donna's hand a bit
