I think we hired Bo because Bo knows defense.  I doubt he's going to change the things that he knows.

Audio of Bo on a defense conference since that a good portion of what he does is out of the 4-3. He feels it is versatile enough in both the run and pass.

I am sure he has experimented with several types including this one before. We may only see bits of this type. His #1 priority is stopping the run and taking the offense away from some of theri bread and butter plays. For the 3-3-5 defense to be effective it requries a dominant set of 3 lineman and mix of coverages and blitz packages to stop the run.

No, no, no... This is not the MWC or WAC.  Rocky Long, Gary Patterson & Bronco Mendenhall can keep their beloved 3-3-5 out west...


The 3-3-5 can be very effective when utilized properly.  Don't let Cosgrove's failures with a 3-3-5 color your view of this defense.
