Hate it.  The first time I remember it was when Howard Schnellenberger was yelling about the Sooner Nation when he was introduced as coach.  I've never liked it.

How about:  Husker fans

Crazy idea, huh?  Smiley

I also hate the "nation" saying.  Partly because I associate Pederson with it.  The "Husker Nation" Pavilion and the "1.7 million walkons".  Grrr....

Totally agree.  Although, I love the giant flag the student section unfurls during the pre-game - just change it to say something like "Husker Power"

Ugh... I hate that one. I can live with "XXXX" NATION, but "The Power of Red" irritates the hell out of me.

I don't like it for the Huskers...but it seems right for Free Shoes University (since the Seminole tribe is actually a nation).   Wink

Personally, i like "Sea of Red" and "Husker Power".  All the <> Nation stuff is just an attempt to cash in on the marketing success of the phrase "Red Sox Nation" which was coined after thier world series win in 04.  It is a lame spin off, and doesnt even make sense except in cases like "Seminole Nation".  Personally, it is so generic, I think we need something different.
