I look forward to this game. It will be a good one and should draw some attention from college football fans. Clemson is a good football program and we should be glad for the selection and match-up. I just hope that Bo does not go "Woody Hayes" on anyone.

Bleedshuskerred is on the record as saying 7-5....we go to a middle tier bowl...hopefully win that and build for the future...
My preseason prediction was pretty accurate.  I thought we'd lose to kansas. I was wrong about that.

and roll easy over Clemson in the Gator Bowl...  ;)Some of you crack me up.  We haven't "rolled" any decent team this year, yet now we're going to roll a bowl team who has won four out of the last five?  This isn't Iowa State or one of the Big 11 we're playing.  This is a quality opponent here, guys.
We kinda rolled over kansas. I'd say clemson and kansas are comparable. I think pelini will be able to shut down the clemson's 82nd ranked total offense easily given the fact that he'll have bowl preparation time.  Our offense will be able to move the ball quite well I think. Clemson has a highly ranked defense...only because no one in the ACC has an offense...
Nebraska rolls....

Just curious- what's your definition of "roll"?  A 10 pt win at home isn't exactly a roll IMO.  21+ - now that's a roll.

Clemson has officially accepted the Gator bowl bid but we have not (per the gator bowl website).  I wonder what the hold up is...

Don Beebe will not release teams for consideration by non-BCS bowls until after the Big 12 championship game Saturday.

But they will release ACC teams before the ACC CG?  That seems odd...

I qualified the kansas roll with kinda....We had a decent lead most of the KU game and the d gave up a few easy tds at the end. I thought we were clearly the dominate team vs KU

They are 7-5.  I heard the Fridge is coming back for one more game.  I remember the '82 bowl game.  Looked like we had no chance at the Natl Title and then 2 or 3 teams above us were upset.  One game was done before our game Clemson started and the other upset was going on at the same time ( I think).  Anyway, it ended up that if we won we were champs.  Turner was QB and it was a good game (and the Fridge was playing for Clemson).  Clemson won 22-15 and were Natl Champs.   So--- if we win that one, make the kick vs. FSU, and complete the 2 pt conversion (or kick the extra pt) in '84, we have 3 more titles.

Turner was hurt and missed that game if I recall. Nerve damage in his leg?  Been a long time

"Are they ready for us" Carll Pelini in reference to the question, are you ready for Wisconsin?

You are correct. TG was absent.  He had a knee injury he suffered b4 the Oklahoma game.  Mark Mauer was the starting QB.  I think we beat Clemson if Gill had been starting. Smiley

while MM had a great game against OU (by his standards), thanks in large part to rozier and craig tearing the OU defense a new one, he reverted to early season form against iowa and penn state which had gotten him benched in the first place when playing clemson ...

no doubt in my mind that TG playing against that athletic clemson D back then would have made a big difference ...
