The board went down last Friday due to some hardware problems with the web host.

Unfortunately, the database was corrupted.  We were unable to repair it and due to circumstances beyond our control the backup was not valid.

I luckily had mad a backup on 12-17-08 that we were able to restore.  Any posts or new users added on or after that date have been lost.

No use crying over spilled milk.  There is nothing I can do about it.  I appologize for the inconvenience, and we are taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.  I should note that this is the first data lose that we have had in 8 years.

Bummer.

I thought for a minute I was in the "way-back machine" . . . .

It's prolly best to get the kinks all worked out before the football season begins.

That sucks about losing the data, but I'm glad you all are back online.   Smiley

How strange.  Oh well, I am relieved it's back, I was having serious withdrawals.

I'm missing the ability to start a new thread/post.  I can reply, just not create new ones.  Sad  Could you all please check into this? I don't know if anyone else is having the same trouble or not.

I had that problem when we first made the switch.  I guess the admins are going to have to redo all or some of the permissions.  Again.

A couple BHF friends of mine and I have been having trouble finding the football recruiting section/links.   We started noticing it about a week ago.  Is this related to the database corruption issue?

Are they logging in as 'Guest'?  If so they won't be able to view the recruiting links.  Otherwise if they are members you should be able to view everything in the Recruiting forum.   Smiley  Hope this helps.

Only registered members of BHF can view the Recruiting Forum.
