I haven't been this nervous prior to a Huskers game since a couple of years back when USC came to Lincoln. Many of us were drinking the Kool-Aid then and thinking that maybe....just maybe we could keep that close and even pull it out. Well, we all know how that turned out. So the fact that I have the same pre-game feeling right now that I did then makes me nervous.

It's time for the Huskers to show they're relevant and climbing toward being a player on the national stage again. It's been far too long since we were able to say that. Hopefully a victory today puts us on that path. But I definitely have pre-game jitters.

"This too shall pass" is the mantra I live by.  Gets me through tough times without becoming too paralyzed with worry and fear, and keeps me humble during the good times. It’s not the mistakes we make in life that define us; it is how we bounce back and what we learn from them. -Diehard

I felt the same way.  I have very little confidence after Black Friday, 2001 and beyond, repeated failure in games like these.  But what I feel has no bearing, they can win it.
