The tough ones seem to stick a little longer.

We have all heard the sayings, "you make your own luck," "behind every cloud there is a silver lining," "take something good away from this." You know em, I know em, at times its hard to do, especially today after giving another one away.  Well today Va Tech made their own luck, today the silver lining and something good are hard to find.  Like I've said a lot today, football is a game of inches, today we were one shy.  One damn half second and there is a sack on Taylor instead of an 81 yard schooling in getting depth as a safety, Henry doesn't make the Husker rugby team blush with a kick or two, this game goes big the other direction, Holt, McNiel, Lee inches... they are everywhere.  Ok so that silver lining, well how about a silver lesson.  This was a young team a damn inch away from a game they should have won going away.  They know it, Husker Nation knows it, thats why it stings that much more.  Nebraska wasn't up to the task today.  To be up to the task it has to be 100% not 99%.  Everyone knows that, a young team knows that, but they may have not learned that.  Well they did tonight.  If you believe in silver linings believe that this team learned the importance of pressing the peddle to the floor when when you get a straight away, not giving a play away or taking a break.  Those lessons are taught over and over again, but they are never learned until they hurt.  Today hurt, no doubt, today I've been pissed, sad, pissed and happy while being pissed.  This one stings, another big game that goes wide on the last play.  Nebraska has a lot of work to do, Bo will agree, listen to the presser at the end, he knows, Bo knows...

The simple fact of the matter is that Nebraska got down into scoring territory and kicked five field goals...THAT'S WHY THEY LOST THE FLIPPING GAME.
