GO BIG RED!

« on: March 17, 2010, 08:29:48 AM »

How many people, when they come to BHF each day, start here?

http://www.bighuskerfan.com/smf/

That page is the main BHF home page and has lots of info, like news links as well as many other things (that are being added to and improved as we move along).

Just wondering if most people are even seeing it or are their bookmarks coming straight to the forums.
i.e. here...http://www.bighuskerfan.com/smf/index.php?action=forum

Embarrassed I'll admit - I rarely hit the homepage.  Too much juice back here.   Wink  I'll try it though!

It's my homepage, but I'm more interested in conversing with the best fans in the world when I call up BHF!   Grin

The reason I mention it is a hear ppl say they like the HP home page because of the links there. Point is most of those same links can be found on the BHF homepage. Figured many people went right past each day. Which is fine. To each their own. But if you want to see links like those that is where they can be found here.

I like their essentials part.  All the stats.  They are updated constantly. It's a great resource in that respect.  I do lurk on their recruiting board.  They have a couple guys who know their stuff over there.  It's nice to see their perspective on potential recruits as well.   Wink

For those interested, the BHF Administrator informed me that with the real time RSS feeds the links are posted to the BHF homepage the instant they hit their own websites (i.e. Huskers.com, Omaha World Herald, Journal Star and more)!

Guess I never checked Huskerpedia for news, I often check the news for news, then come here to see what I missed.

I didn't realize the links were instant. I get the emails from Huskers.com when they have new stories. And for the most part the big stories are often linked on the forums. But my bookmark is the homepage, which I click on, oh literally 10-20 times a day and never paid attention to the links.

This all really came about when I saw my brother become a fan of HuskerMax on Facebook. Of course I immediately took him to task for it. I believe the word "pud" may have even been used, LOL. He said he liked their main page which is basically just links! So I sent him the link to the BHF home page assuming he was coming straight to the forums and bypassing the home page altogether. Which made me think, how many people are missing it? And how many BHF'ers are using their home page for the links not knowing about the reworked home page?

Anyway, that is my story.................and I am sticking to it.
