#28 Player of the Game

A veteran save our azzes in this game. Nice heads up play. I still contend we should have pulled #12 and replaced him with a hard hitting #3 for this game.

Not only did Nebraska 'finish it' but we 'messed with Texas' doing it.
The rest of the former conference can take their 11-1 votes and put them between their lips and the backside of Texas, space providing of course.

Agree with first point. On Ricky, his tackling is so bad that we can't afford to have him on the field.

Maybe so. I saw so many mistakes from #12 today that I was just sick of it. I figured #3 would help us with run defense.

I was joking with my wife after one of the earlier games that Thenarse was demonstrating tackling technique for a football player with no arms. Seriously though, if despite presumably being coached to tackle correctly he's still unable to execute, then he shouldn't be on the field.
And Hagg was he player of the game...great performance.

This not a smartass question. What mistakes was he making? I missed the first half of the game.

I saw too many whifs on pass defense as well as run defense. Too young and timid to defend a team that was intent on running against us. I'll watch it again and confirm but that's what I was thinking--too young and inexperienced.

Ya, Rex saved our azzes today. Eric may have saved the game at the end, but Rex is the only reason we were even in the game today. Props to Cassidy, too. The pick 6 was HUGE.

And yet, the team's most consistent liability, #24, continues to start at WR, KR, and PR.
I guess the defense has higher standards....?

Don't forget Helu's 99 yards, or David's solid tackling - he must've had 10+ on the day.

He's becoming the star of the front four in the last several games.

Martinez turned in the kind of performance that should make Kansas State and the rest of the Big 12 say good riddance. The Cornhuskers are the Big Ten’s problem now.
