I'm as irritated as I've been in a long time on this one.  Hell, that game was handed to the Huskers on a silver platter and they didn't take it.  Very tough to stomach right now.

But, let's take a moment to be thankful for what we have seen this year.

One, David is an absolute stud.  Maybe those closer to the program knew how good this kid could be but damn, he can play.  What a pickup.

Two, Burkhead shows that last year was no fluke.  He's a great player, and a great leader.  I've never met him, but I get the feeling that he'll be great in whatever he does.  He just busts his ass, runs hard and is pretty much everything you want to see out of a player wearing the Husker uniform. 

Three, Alex Henry is simply the best kicker around, no comparison.  Happily, he'll be rewarded for his excellence in pros.  That kick last night was good from 65 plus, easy.

I'm too ticked off to bother with what went wrong last night, so I'm going to stick with what we should be thankful for.

2 out of 3 will lead us into the big 10 next year
