If Bo is really so obtuse and/or stubborn as to not realize that wholesale changes to the offensive staff need to be made this offseason, then I think "Baghdad Bo" is a fitting nickname.

Give it time man - after signing day - making changes now (by firing) would be detrimental to a few stars in this upcoming class.  Changes will most likely happen - it's just that timing is everything.

If nothing happens by Feb 15th - then I'm with you, but until then, patience is the key.

I agree...that's why I said that "if" no changes are made, then that nickname would be warranted. But it's frustrating that after as poorly as the offense played in 2009 no changes were made for 2010...and that after as poorly as it played in 2010, especially down the stretch, it's still unclear what's going to happen...if anything.

Maybe someone can photo-shop the picture of Baghdad Bob and insert Pelini's face.

What is the Nebraska way? Be honest with the kids, I know it and you all know it.

"Are they ready for us" Carll Pelini in reference to the question, are you ready for Wisconsin?

tfree doesnt give anyone more than a millisecond to adjust.  Bo is fine but being tightlipped and agressive with the fans and the press aint going to win him any friends.  As with Callahan and now Bo, its our team, not his.  He is just the coach, we are the owners.

Yeah, I do. But after watching his offense piss the chances for two conference championships and BCS bids down its leg over the past two seasons, it's time for action. There's been enough time for evaluation and adjustments.

Nothing is going to happen until after signing day. Have patience.

Exactly what action are you going to take?  Cdog says patience and I say it dont matter.  Tom already said it, 3 years ago a 10 win season would be great.

What "action" should I be taking? Is a prerequisite to criticizing or commenting about some aspect of the program having the power to do something about it? If so, what's your position on the staff or in the Athletic Dept.?

My point being is that you and have no way to convey our dissatisfaction with the offense if Bo chooses to ignore what all of us already know.  Besides, we won 10 games.  Thats the benchmark.  I dont think anyone is going to get fired with a 10 win season. You can type on your keyboard till the cows come home, nuttings happening.

You're ducking the question. Are you seriously arguing that no one on this discussion board should post their opinion about the team, program, coaches, players, etc. unless they have the power to do something about it? If so, that's a pretty ridiculous argument. It's also a recipe for an empty discussion board.

No one is claiming that Bo is going to be fired. I'm unaware of anyone who's advocating that he be fired. But nice strawman.

10-win seasons aren't the only benchmark. How we get to ten wins, whether we're competitive in big games, whether we contend for and win conference titles, what bowl games we play in and how we perform in them, and whether we develop or lose momentum as the season progresses are all additional factors. How many fans do you know who were happy with this season? How many do you know who would be happy if we have five more exactly like it? It's more complicated than simply winning ten games.

I agree.  It's deliberate deception to get kids to sign expecting one thing, and then change course.  We should be better than that.

what would be the point?  anyone who doesn't want to come here because Watson isn't here shouldn't be here.   I t looks like we are going to be sitting through another season of this mess.

Exactly right.  If a move is imminent, I hope the only reason it hasn't happened yet is that they haven't found the right replacement.  Pulling a bait and switch is totally bush league.
