I understand, we're on an anonymous message board and it's easy to be vindictive, so it's probably better Shatel took the more diplomatic route.  At any rate, he has finally written what I've wanted to read for a while, albeit a little flowery in his prose.  But, some key points made very well by Tom:

Quote
NU does lead the league with 15 Academic All-Big 12 selections. That announcement got the big cheer on Saturday. Some people still remember when they used to cheer for other things.

Anderson, however, isn’t being paid $330,000 a year — on the high end for college baseball coaches — to produce good grades. He’s being paid to win.

Quote
Bring the coach back so the bad Big Ten can revive him? That’s no way to run a railroad. NU should aspire to greatness, not be better than the lowest common denominator.

Also, note the picture.  Anderson looks like he knows he hadn't met the objectives to keep his job.  Shatel also noted his body language (which matches his team's body language in a lot of games the past 3 years.)  All signs point to change.  I hope Osborne makes it quick and painless for all involved.

The key is WHEN will Osborne make an announcement. Is it today? Tomorrow? After the Big 12 tourney? I agree that he needs to make this process quick and painless because our recruiting is important during a coaching change (although I'm not sure what Bubba is thinking if Anderson gets canned).

TO needs to make it no later than Tuesday.  As for Bubba I don't think it's going to matter if MA gets canned.  He wants to play football and baseball in college.  Wink

“We've focused on 40-yard dash all these years. Actually, 10-yard dash is much more important in identifying talent. Coaches are just hung up on what they've always done. If you don't beat an athlete in the first few steps, it doesn't matter what your 40 time is."
