I went to the Husker Home Run Club banquet tonight and one of the boosters told me the reason that Ehlers left because he didn't want to work hard for Darin Erstad. Ehlers and his dad are prima donnas and they wanted things done for them and Erstad wanted no part of that so they cut ties. One day Erstad made Ehlers run laps through the pedestrian bridge near Haymarket Park and that apparently was the last straw.  Ehlers finished out his semester at Nebraska then transferred to some small college in Texas.
Yes sir, you hit the key words, PRIMA DONNA

I tell ya, listening to him and his staff, I think they're bound and determined to get this program back to its winning ways. Coach Anderson didn't let his assistants speak during previous banquets and Erstad let Will Bolt, Ted Silva, Jeff Christy and Curtis Ledbetter speak for a short time about what they want from their players. Erstad just seems like a coach who will get in your face if you do something wrong. It's a breath of fresh air.

I am very excited to have Will Bolt on staff.  I was actually advocating for him to get the HC gig.  But it all worked out.  I am actually probably more excited to have him on staff than Erstad.

Bolt is so dang short, I thought he needed a step stool to reach the podium, lol!

Ehlers is at Howard Junior College in Big Spring, Texas, and is eligible for the ML draft this summer.

Colton Bickerstaff who did not play last year is also at Howard.  He is from my area, and was/is a major talent who should have seen action last year------maybe.
