Injuries are part of the game. Minn. Starting center is out for year, it happens. Depth. Year 6 and we have none.

Well no crap, Daniel. I'm just saying that this team, before injuries, was Doc's best team. I didn't think we would be great by any means, but I thought we would compete with almost anybody on our schedule. Injuries happened, it obviously took its toll on this team. Yeah, I think its time for Doc to go. Let's not pretend injuries havent hurt us.

I'm not trying to be mean, I accept opinions. In fact, I have basically the same opinion as you. I completely agree about changing directions with the program. Heck, I wanted to change directions last year but wanted to wait until the practice facility was up and the new arena was ready to be built thinking we could lure in a better coach. My only point is had these injuries not have occured, our season would be different. Probably to the extent that Doc might even keep is job. So at the end of the day, maybe it's a blessing in disguise. Not that I would ever want an injury to happen, I just think it's delaying the inevitable.

I really doubt every team in the country has had our amount of injury problems. The depth issue is a combination of a lot of things, more than anything it's lack of player development which I would completely put on the shoulders of Doc. Hilliard, Moore, and Rivers being coached up could make our depth problems minimal.
I want you to listen, Daniel. You aren't the only person in the world who thought Callahan sucked. I know you find that hard to believe as you are a legend in your own mind, but you aren't. I couldn't stand the guy after he refused to adjust to keep our bowl streak alive. The only difference betwen you and I is that I didn't chose to troll every single thread making quick, one sentence complaints about how terrible he was over, and over, and over again to the point where not even the people who hated Callahan could stand you. I supported Doc his first few years here, the last few the only reason I supported him is because 1) I didn't want this program to become a revolving door, and 2) I wanted to wait for facilities to be built.

I think everyone is on the same page at this point. Losing a middle-of-the-road big shouldn't lead to a catastrophic melt down, but it has.
We need a serious shot in the arm to go along with the new facilities we have. The question is who can we realistically get?

backpeddle all you want, that is fine. Few to none seen the writing on the wall as soon as I did with Callahan and Sadler but say what you want, thats fine. If Osborne makes the right hire, I just might buy season tickets.

Dan, the fact is that it could have been the next Phil Jackson and you would have hated the hire. You naysay everything unless it's an ex-Nebraska player or coach who takes over the program. I bet if Osborne hired Jason Glock tomorrow you'd buy season tickets.
We could get a lot of coaches I think, Bus. Knowing Osborne it will be someone who is connected with the state or program I assume, limiting our scope of cannidates.
