Apparently KU is wanting more abuse as look for Leach to be next HC and is in Lawerence right now.
Look for news conference as early as late this afternoon.

Update,  Mike Leach is not in Lawerence, his agent is!!!

If he can win in Lubbock he can win in Lawrence.  Probably.

This would surprise the heck out of me if Leach went to KU.  However he may very well be able to make them a winner.  I doubt he's going to have the success he did at TT though.

So they fire Mangino for being a douche who verbally and physically assaults players in order to class up the joint with Gill. But when it takes too long for him to get things rolling, they fire him and replace him with a guy who was fired from his last job for allegedly locking a kid with a concussion in a garage?

Just from a PR standpoint, hiring Leach would seem to be a disaster for Kansas.

Leach's fate as a future coach hangs on the yet-unresolved Texas Supreme Court case... and the fact that Penn St. happened. Scrutiny on coaches behavior is now a pot on the boil. That's not going to help Leach.

I bet he would love to coach at Kansas so he can face off against Texas Tech every year and beat them 100-0.

I would love to see him back in the B12 where he can continue to be a burr in the saddle of the Longhorns and co.

Hmm, Lubbock's maybe not a dream destination for anyone, but it's at least in-state for all the Texas recruits, which can't be said of Lawrence...

I hope Leach doesn't get the KU job.  I hope they hire a stiff.  If Leach does get the job, he will probably be able to pull the occasional recruit out of MO or KS that we were after.

Wazu is a good fit for his style of play... if he can build the player base.
