So he returns to Pitt, where he accepts Dave Wannstedt's resignation, hires Michael Haywood who then has to be fired a couple of weeks later due to facing criminal charges and hires Todd Graham from Tulsa.

Now after one year, Graham's resigned to take the Arizona State job. He also apparently resigned via text message.

That karma's a real son of a b*tch isn't it? With any luck, Pederson will be fired in time for Christmas.   Wink

Quote
"I have resigned my position at Pitt in the best interest of my family to pursue the head coaching position at Arizona State," Graham said. "Coaching there has always been a dream of ours and we have family there. The timing of the circumstances have prohibited from telling you this directly. I now am on my way to Tempe to continue those discussions. God Bless."

Awesome stuff, but do we really have to consider Pederson to be a 'Former Husker'? Lips sealed

I  think we all can agree that is beautiful!  Thanks for sharing this.  Pedey is such an ass.  Karma is right!

Kinda rough for the players though.

How can we blame Graham?  If I had the opportunity to leave the bitter cold and snow of the northeast in the winter time and go to a warm location I'd be sending that text as well.

But Steve Pederson is kinda a festering brown eye.

I love the quote from the guy from ASU about how one of the reasons they picked Graham was because they were focused on picking a guy for the long term.

And as far as the Pederson angle on the story, as Brian Christopherson pointed out, Houston Nutt is available. LOL

Sounds like they hired Wisconsin's OC Paul Chryst. Great hire under the circumstances. I wonder if that'll be enough to save Pedey's job at this point?
