Talley out for sure.  Diaz is out, very small chance he might get a minute or two.  Walker is also hurt with a bruised back, he hasn't practiced and may not play.  Hilliard hasn't practiced much and is injured but offered to play.

Hope to see a good crowd tonight, pretty big game.  McCray could potentially have a big game as he provides some matchup problems, we need him to keep stepping up.  Spencer and Richardson obviously have to be on for us to have a shot.  Also, Ubel has to bring it down low.  We aren't going to get a lot out of our bench tonight.

Spread is set at 8.5....over/under at 106.5.  I'm going to take overs pretty hard.  I'll suprise some people and go some light cash on Nebraska as well.  Don't ask my why because I shouldn't.  I'll go Wisconsin 63 Nebraska 55.  While the game will be boring, I wouldn't suprised to see a little more scoring than we normally would in this matchup.  I like the way we shot the ball last game, I think we hit from the outside.  Ultimately, without Diaz, we don't have a way to score down low or no way to get to the rim without Walker.

It's gonna be an ugly game...my first guess is 63-48.  We're going to have a tough time scoring, but I think we'll at least make them work for it.  The injury list just makes it unimaginable tome that we can pull the upset.  You never know, though.  We really need Bo to bring his "A" game tonight to have a chance.

Not getting into foul trouble, players getting open shots, not missing free throws, play good defensively...that's the only way I see us having a chance to pull off the upset.

It'll be a miracle if Nebraska loses this game in single digits.

With all the injuries we have right now, I agree.  This one could get ugly...Though we are up by 3 right now.

That was painful to watch. Long way to go, completely outclassed, outplayed, outcoached,

We had absolutely no inside game. We never had a chance.

I'll let others figure out why, but we aren't in Wisky's league right now....and probably not many others in the B1G.

Donated to the Bookie's kids college fund tonight I guess.  I knew going in that we weren't going to get points inside....kids have been shooting better recently, thought for sure we'd hit 5-7 shots behind the arc.  You can never count anything for certain from Bo, but I'd figure he was good for a few more points tonight.

Obviously with Diaz and Talley this is a different game.  Not a win by any means, but a different game.  We had no chance running any sort of post offense without Diaz and Wisconsin knew that.  Wisconsin can make a decent team look pretty bad....can make an average team look really bad.  They don't usually shoot like that, most of that was our fault due to poor perimeter defense.  Some of those shots they hit though were pretty.

Poor coaching.  The substitution pattern was unexplainable tonight.  I'm not going to get into the details because I'm tired, but it was very bad.

The athletic department is a joke.  They knew last year some things needed changed and they didn't take any of them seriously....not that I'm surpised.  I already heard about the behavior from some of the people in the athletic department.  I didn't see it, trying to find out more.

Sounds like the Nebraska-Wisconsin football game earlier this year.  Only that was a 31 point loss and our basketball team doesn't have a storied tradition or multiple All-Americans.  Wink

Point being that a bad loss warrants some criticism.  No coach is above reproach.  Unfortunately for Doc though, his seat is actually getting pretty hot.

I watched last night, -my first chance to watch this season- with a little hope for an upset, and was disappointed in the team.  I know this is probably a little bit true for a lot of teams, but if Nebraska isn't hitting over 50% from 3 point range, they aren't winning many games in the Big 10.  It is frustrating to watch their complete lack of offense.  Toss the ball around the perimeter a few times, then toss up a three pointer.  Doc has been around 5 or 6 (?) years, and he doesn't seem to be making progress.  Doc just doesn't seem to develop any talent, in part because no one is really in the program for more than 2 years...  Maybe Wisconsin isn't a fair assessment of team, as Wisco is a very good program, but they are what we have to be striving for.

Before the season I didn't think Doc would be on the hot seat, but the Wake Forest and Oregon losses are really going to haunt him.  10-1 provides padding for a sub .500 league record. 8-3 not so much.  If we manage to go 6-12 (which is my most optimistic number, and honestly a lot of things have to go right to achieve that), we will have a below .500 record overall...14-15 going into league tourney play.  A losing season gives you ammo to be fired.  Same scenario, if we close out the Wake Forest and Oregon games, we are 16-13, then lose in the conference tourney first round and get a CIT or CBI invite and rack up some gimme wins to pad the record.  Probably buying one more season for the coach to get thing right.

I predict we will end the year with a 12-18 record after our first round exit in the laegue tourney.  We may actually have a new coach going into the new arena.

call me nuts but i dont think he should go yet. give him a chance with the new facilities and arena. you are not going to get a top shelf coach and he has been putting up with nothing facilities. 2 more years is not going to affect the long term history of nu hoops.

You're nuts!   Smiley

We gotta let this year play out.  When healthy, we can play with a lot of the teams in this league.  If we do tank, it's seriously time.  Everyone kows the coach I want and I hope we go get him.
