I have a mental image of a white jersey.  Had to be away.

The "tear 'em loose from their shoes" return was in Norman in '71

Doesn't really matter. The fact that you were there with your Dad is the important thing

The most exciting game I can remember is when Bear Bryant and Alabama came to Lincoln in the up's.  You could feel the electricity in the stadium.  What a feeling.  What a game.

First Husker memory was getting to meet Thunder Thornton when I was around 5.  He was the largest human being I'd ever seen.

First game memory was watching Paul Rogers boot a field goal to beat Wyoming in 1968.

Some favorite memories (at this exact moment -- they change constantly):  Jeff Kinney's tear away jersey, Johnny Rodgers on a punt return stopping forward momentum and just juking an Army defender until the defender dove at a shadow on the ground, Monte Johnson blowing up the wedge on kickoff coverage, Lawrence Phillips taking over a game when Frazier and Berringer were both out, Jason Peter and Grant Wistrom hugging Tom Osborne post-championship, the Bumerooski against Missouri, Crouch's catch against Oklahoma, Johnny Rodgers passing for a TD against Notre Dame (JR lining up at I-Back against Notre Dame), Suh treating Colt McCoy like a skipping stone on a lake, Frazier's run against Florida and Michael Booker's INT for 6 against Florida.  Enough for now....

1987 - Bus full of "New Mexicans for Nebraska" took a road trip from Albuquerque to Stillwater. Nebraska dominated Okie St 35-0.  Gundy, Dykes and Thomas were stymied by N Smith, B Thomas and L Etienne.  Met and shook hands with Bob Devaney.  My wife (NM native) of one year experienced first hand what it's like to catch Husker Fever.  Twenty-five years later,  I have my own Husker Den at home and she too has the fever.
