Well... here's my prediction for next season:

Southern Miss - win
@UCLA - win
Arkansas St - win
Wisconsin - loss
@Ohio State - loss
@Northwestern - win
Michigan - win (upset special)
@Michigan State - loss (upset special)
Penn State - win
Minnesota - win
@Iowa - win

8 - 3... 2nd or 3rd place in our division.  Outback bowl.  Odd question... but has anyone heard who we're going to pick up for the open date on 22 Sep?  Are we going to pick up a game that day?

I will go this route, IF someway possible, the receivers  do NOT drop passes that hit them in the hands, we will have a better record than you indicate. Just go back and look at all of them, in all kinds of situations. Alot of momentum changers!
Would of seen more points scored, kept the other team off the field etc. Just catch the da&* ball this year. at least 10 win season. Bank on it!

7-4 I agree with most of them but I just do not see enough changes for us to win against the likes of SMU and Michigan.  Just side note we 10 of these teams went to bowl games I d believe so the quality of opponent may be helpful

9-3.  My prediction for every year will be 9-3 until we can prove we are better than that

Pretty much the way I see it, at least the Big 10 portion of the schedule.  I don't know enough about what USM has coming back so I call the a toss up for lack of better knowledge of the opponent.

Agree with  everything except for Wisconsin and Michigan results.  I think we beat Wisconsin at home.  They are losing 5 assistant coaches, so I expect a transition period early in the year.  Even at home I can't pick NU against a very mobile QB, so Michigan is my pick there.  Same record though.  Looks about right.

If we find some fixes for our ailes this year on defense, then we could end up with 3 losses.  If we dont, your looking at 6 losses.  By the way, So Miss will not be a cake walk and neither will UCLA.  UCLA has had top ten recruiting classes for 5 years.  They have talent and the bad coach is gone.  We can easily have two losses by the time we start big 10 play.  Sorry to be Debby Downer but thats the way I see it. Anyone with any ideas on the open date in Sep?  Funny to see us not playing 13 games.

we'll line up and play somebody that day.  probably some crappy 1-aa team, but we will play 12 regular season games.

edit: now that I think about it I thought I heard something about tennessee-martin being talked about for that date.  maybe that was a different year.

You are so right about UCLA.  Coaching killed them the last few years.  It's going to be a tough game here in LA.  Let's hope the new system hasn't kicked in the short time before they meet us.

I can't see six losses.  But I can see four or maybe five.  But that's only if a lot of things go wrong.  More than likely the 9-3 is most accurate.

The last few guesses my record count has been right on. Not even close on specific games mind you, but the wins and losses have been pretty close to perfect....sooooo I'm predicting 11-0, 12-0 with the conference championship, 13-0 with a bowl win. OK Bo, now make it so. Smiley

In case you all don't realize it, a single player can be the difference between undefeated and 3 losses. South Carolina would likely have been in the SEC championship without the injury to Latimore. Nebraska could be anywhere from undefeated to 3 losses, depending on the performance of key players, including Martinez.
