...being a Negative Nancy. I realize I've been more negative than usual lately, what with the frustration of how the season ended and everything. But I realize that my negativity can't affect anything positively around here, and a lot of us are drained, emotionally, from the rollarcoaster of this past season. So I'll just end with one of my favorite literary quotes:

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

Again, my apologies Cheesy

No apologies necessary IMO.  As I have told you and others, there is a difference between being honest with your opinions and out and out intentional negativity.  Again, don't think apologies are necessary for that.

No offense Cdog, but I can't see you in a cheerleader outfit. I just don't think you have the legs for it. But in fairness, I thought the same thing about Bummer...and he's managed to pull it off.  Wink

You're good in my book, for what it is worth.  There are some issues with the program, and it's OK to question that.  As long as it doesn't become all consuming, it'll work out.

CDog you're not the most pessimistic guy on the board ... but, you're right up there with him. Cheesy

I believe in behavial change ... but, this will be a huge stretch.  It will be fun keeping you in line.  It will be like the old days at my grammar school when I was a homeroom monitor. Tongue

Criticism and/or negativity aren't necessarily bad things because if we don't step back from time to time and ask what can we do better, then we fall into complacency.

However, within the discussion of criticism there needs to be included the surrounding facts.  And that's where I think much of the discontent this season has emanated from: one camp acknowledges that although Nebraska didn't get that 3rd down conversion there were legitimate reasons why and the other camp simply viewed it as making excuses.

Anyone want to take a stab at this and explain it?

In other words, the jist of the negative posters seemed to be: "We're Nebraska and we should be able to just over-power other teams regardless of who we play and anything less than complete dominance is making excuses for failure."
