round 2. i think it'll go much better than round 1. they can't shoot as well from 3 as they did before. i think with diaz back, they won't have to collapse as much on the post. i think it'll be close, but man is it tough to win in the kohl center.
and, be sure to stick around after the game and watch the journey, if you didn't watch last week. it's sort of like an inside the program show about big ten basketball teams. they follow nebraska this week, and i believe there's a tour of the new facility. it's a nice show, but what really makes it great is the game action. it's shot almost nfl films-like, and it really gives you a sense of the physicality and speed out there.

The atmosphere I tihnk will be less than hostile. This game takes place during the Packer game, so I think we negate their crowd. This would be a big one to steal.

Being a Packers fan, I'm not sure how I am going to handle this yet. Maybe two TVs....but I can only have on in HD.
That or I'm DVRing and starting it right after the Packer game.
Yeah, there's no way they are going to shoot the ball like they did last game....no way in hell. I've seen Wisconsin play a couple of times since then, that lights out shooting was an anomaly. That's not to say that they still won't beat us like a drum, I just think the game will go a bit different than last time.

I'll be curious to see how it goes. The boys have been playing a little better of late, and Wisconsin hasn't been.... so fingers crossed

down 3 at half. missed so many opportunities. i don't think wisconisn will keep playing this bad. this one's gonna hurt if they let it slip away. the defensive effort in the first half - wow. unbelievable. they're smothering them. coming out high on those ball screens is giving them all sorts of trouble. this is a classic doc defensive game. i just hope they find enough focus on offense to pull it out. it's almost like they can't believe how easy it's coming. you get those butterflies and yips by the basket.

Rebounding down the stretch is killing us! If we could bring down a board, we might have this.

We lose 50-45. Defensive rebounding KILLS us down the stretch. Just looking around the country, we seem to lack great athleticism. Theres no guy on our squad that you look at as a freak. The closest would be Mccray, but he has such coordination issues that it negates itself. Better game today on our part, but we needed boards down the stretch and just couldn't do it.

did not see the game (was at the Creighton game) but according to the stats on scoremobil nu only shot 2 freethrows? uw had well over 20.... legit? thoughts? lose by five and get 20 less freethrows.

It was pretty legit, no complaints from me. We weren't aggressive taking it to the hoop, and they were better about getting it inside. We were also fouling late so the numbers got even more extreme towards the end.

Woulda won this one if in Lincoln. Had the venues been reversed we would have gotten blown out, even worse, the first time around in Madison and won this time at home. Of course, it would be nice to just be the better team and not have to worry about which time you play better - home or road - just win both.
