1. Black Uniforms on special occasions - Not even at gunpoint.

2. Frank Solich - A hero's welcome, complete with tribute dinner at the Champion's Club.

3. Taylor Martinez - Until and unless someone can legitimately beat him out.

4. Bo Pelini - He's here for another decade or more, and we're lucky to have him.

5. Jamal Turner at QB - He won't beat out Martinez or Armstrong at QB, but with Dobson's help, could be a legitimate NFL draftee candidate by 2013.

6. Tim Beck - He'll get better and better...just like another first-time OC from 1969-1972.

7. Barney Cotton - At least two seasons in Beck's system before a final verdict would have any credibility.

8. John Papuchis - This young man is a future superstar. Enjoy him while he's here, because unless he becomes Bo's heir apparent at NU, he'll be a Head Coach by 2016.

9. Li'l Red - It would not break my heart to see him go; the act got tired by about 1996.

10. Herbie Husker - Now that they de-goofified him, (one of the few things done well under SP), they should put him back in football gear from the neck down.

1. Black Uniforms: Yes (once every 3 years)
2. Frank Solich:No (I like to root for him, but a change needed to be made....although Callahan was the wrong choice)
3. Taylor Martinez: Yes (for now, I hope someone can challenge him next year)
4. Bo Pelini: Yes (but there are several questions)
5. Jamal Turner @ QB: No (he's an NFL-caliber WR....use him like one)
6. Tim Beck: No
7. Barney Cotton:  No (the faster we get rid of him the better)
8. John Papuchis: Yes
9. Li'l Red:  I freakin hate that thing....get it out of here!
10. Herbie Husker:  Yes

Unofficial results after 3 days.  Some replies did not have enough conviction to register a "Yes' or "No" vote.  Understandable with the limited resume of Beck and Papuchis.

2. Frank Solich                                             Yes 13     No 10
3. Taylor Martinez                                        Yes 15     No 6
4. Bo Pelini                                                   Yes  23    No 1
5. Jamal Turner at QB                                  Yes 13     No 7
6. Tim Beck                                                   Yes 19    No  1
7. Barney Cotton                                           Yes 9      No  10

Papuchis-----------very highly thought of for first time coordinator

Ok I'll do mine:

1. Black Uniforms on special occasions      No.  Especially the all black (jersey, pants, helmet)
2. Frank Solich                                                    Yes.  Should have been fired the year prior or given more time.
3. Taylor Martinez                                                Yes, for now.  Hoping someone pushes him
4. Bo Pelini                                                           Yes.  He will get us there as long as we don't push him out.
5. Jamal Turner at QB                                       Yes.  If he wants a shot, let him compete.
6. Tim Beck                                                          Yes.  Will only get better.
7. Barney Cotton                                                 Yes he's a good coach and the OL did much better this year.
8. John Papuchis                                                Yes
9. Li'l Red                                                              No.  But the kids like him.

Nice work! (sincerely)

What I infer from this data is that our Huskers will win the Big Ten title by 2013!   Wink

Thinking of all the topics on this board where differing opinions are expressed and blood pressure is raised.  No reason to be confrontational.  A simple "Yes" or "No" reply is all that's necessary, commentary is optional.  Just curious and would like to see all the polling data in one place.  Here goes....

1. Black Uniforms on special occasions -- Yes
2. Frank Solich -- Average D1 coach, at best
3. Taylor Martinez -- Great athlete
4. Bo Pelini -- Great DC
5. Jamal Turner at QB -- No idea
6. Tim Beck -- TBD
7. Barney Cotton  -- OL was improved this year.
8. John Papuchis -- Good
9. Li'l Red -- Keep
10. Herbie Husker -- Keep

1. Black Uniforms on special occasions- No
2. Frank Solich - Yes; great coach and screwed by a completely idiotic and low integrity person.
3. Taylor Martinez - Yep, until he's legitimately beaten out; the kid has had a pretty solid career so far
4. Bo Pelini - Yes.  Bo is an outstanding coach and person.  We are lucky to have him and need to do whatever we can to keep him.
5. Jamal Turner at QB - No opinion... but definitely No if he's going to be a backup.
6. Tim Beck - Yes.  Showed lots of promise in only his first year.
7. Barney Cotton - Yes.  His group was arguably the most improved and valuable unit on the team (except RB, mainly due to Rex's incredible contributions)
8. John Papuchis - Yes.  I trust Bo's eye for talent, and Pap has apparently shown a great amount of promise in recruiting and overall defensive management.
9. Li'l Red - No... but don't really care.
10. Herbie Husker - Yes.
