When they recruited the three runningbacks the skinny was that Heard was the physical kid, while the other two were the speed guys.  I'm assuming that the rumors were false.  We saw Evans get burnt a few times when receivers just plain ran by him the past two seasons.  We saw Green get manhandled by big receivers with strength.  Bo being the defensive guru and a guy who played and coached the secondary knows what he has and what he needs.  Heard just may be his answer.  That combination of speed and physicality.  It wasn't too long ago we saw the Arizona offensive player of the year play cornerback for Nebraska.  It worked out very well.  A first round draft pick and a player that may get a Super Bowl ring in his very first year in the show.  You look back through history and the cornerback position and the runningback position are interchangeable for the most part.

Bo has a track record for putting his best men at cornerback, or at least experimenting until he finds his answer.  Nebraska had its greatest success when they had lockdown corners that needed little help.  Bo will always work hard  at finding cornerbacks and that is always his priority.  It lets the defensive line get to the quarterback more often when they can't find open receivers.  He may not be the answer but Bo will scrub the roster until he is satisfied.  That's his MO.  That's what give his defense its best shot at championship football.

That's great and all, but at 5'11" and 180, Heard is not exactly the big "physical"  CB that Bo is supposedly looking for.

There is a HUGE difference between "big" and "physical".

Braylon asked for the move in attempt to get on the field sooner/more often. Bo wants to get a peek at him at WR as well. Spring is the best time to try these things.

I assumed that was the reason. I'd prefer he get on the field sooner/more often at RB next season, as he will presumably be healthy. He seems like the most complete back we'll have once Burkhead graduates. It makes sense to give him some work to see whether he can handle the load and to prepare him to be the guy, at least potentially, in 2013. It does not make sense, again in my opinion, to move him to CB.

I'd rather see Braylon on defense if he's going to move. CB is arguably our weakest position. Heard and Jackson (if he qualifies) are needed there, pronto.

Why did Bo say in the presser, Heard might move to Corner?  Is not our information correct? Cheesy
