for the textbook benefit issues. The fine is reportedly $38,000 and the details of the probation are not specified.

According to research cited in "The Sociopath Next Door," one in every 25 people is a sociopath.  This means they have no conscience and no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt or remorse.  They can literally do anything at all without feeling guilty.  You undoubtedly know at least one.

Clearly we're a bunch of amatuers when it comes to cheating...I think we should hire Nick Saban as a consultant.

Sabin would be a good choice but any SEC coach would fill the bill.

I think Urban Meyer will eventually have a clinic for it at tOSU.  He will want to bring the rest of the conference up to spend.  He got some good training in the $ec

I think the Buckeyes will be going the straight and narrow for a while across the board.

Very unlikely. Not with Michigan on the rise.

Michigan had developed a solid recruiting class this year. They are looking dangerous with Hoke at the helm. I am crossing my fingers that NEB gives em a hell of game in Lincoln.

This is pretty laughable.

What would happen if Nebraska violates this probation? Less scholarships? No books for students to study?

Maybe a ban on Academic All-American selections for two years.   Wink

It is pretty funny. Auburn buys themselves a quarterback who then leads them to a national title...and the NCAA yawns. We give our kids additional books to help them excel in the classes they're taking and we get a fine and probation.

I'd love to see some evidence that there's a recruiting advantage to be gained in providing kids with additional study materials. I can just see the 5 star defensive lineman looking at the car, briefcase full of money and legions of loose women that a number of other schools offer and then choosing Nebraska because we offer study guides with our textbooks.

This is a perfect example of why the NCAA is a friggin joke.
