The most encouraging news I've read in awhile, though not at all surprising.

Good read. He does seem to get it. Hopefully he can make the changes necessary to fix it. It sounds like he's focused on getting more vocal leadership from the players and this recruiting class sounds like it will help with that. So that's a step in the right direction.

I love it here," Pelini said. "I've said this before: This is not a steppingstone job. This is a destination. I enjoy what I'm doing here, I love who I'm working with, I love who I'm working for. I'm not looking for another job. I'm committed to winning a championship here. I'm passionate about winning a championship here.

I like how he explained why he hires and keeps the coaches he does.

I thought it was a good article.  In my opinion, Bo said the right things.  My only criticism relates to Bo's potential job offers.  I think he could be a little quicker and more straightforward in denying the rumors.  In regards to the comments on the article, I don't always agree with Bo's actions, but where did all the haters come from?  Seems like a number of very angry people out there.  Or maybe they don't have anything else to do until the Superbowl starts.

I'll have to imagine what it said. I've gone over my allowance of premium content at the OWH. I didn't know there was premium content on the OWH.

I was just on the my way over here to link that article up........and Solly beat me to it. I was even going to use Solly's "Bo gets it" line. Ya snooze, ya lose Smiley

Let me just add....... this has to be my favorite piece on Bo and his philosophies. I know words are just words and the the proof of the pudding will be in the eating, but this is the Bo we needed to meet. He said what needs to happen in my mind. He made it clear he wants it to happen and that he is going to do his very best make it happen. Bo is acting not just reacting. Damn, he sounds like a head coach on a mission.......I love it.

I will add one little opinion of my own. I feel very strongly that anyone and everyone only performs at their best when they feel they have some ownership in the vehicle and the process. Imo a coach will never be his best if he only works for money and a player will never be his best if he only "plays for his coach". Both must feel that what they do, and how they do it, is tied to their destinies. I have questioned whether Bo has felt he had ownership of his job and this team at times. Some have said that Bo doesn't care. To me Bo's actions have been the actions of a man that cares too much what others thought. I don't know if it's because he now has "his" players, or because he now feels as though he has "his" coaching staff, or it just took time to acclimate, but the above article is telling me that he now has some real ownership. I hope so.

Great article. We finally get some solid insight on Bo's world, and the interview seem to come off as quite genuine. I have always been a huge Bo supporter and this article reinforces my beliefs in the team, in the staff and in Bo.

A good read.  Glad to see Pelini respond to the stuff swirling around right now.

Definitely. It was really interesting considering those are the questions many of the fans want answered.

Pretty good read.  Bo still blames the fans (not entirely obviously) for the team performing poorly.  Can you imagine if BC had done that as often as Bo has?

I also thought it was interesting that defines insanity, says he's doing things different and then goes on to talk about not changing most of the things he does as he believes they will work.

I know I tend to parse words far more than most people and I know reading compared to hearing it live can produce very different interpretations, but I thought this shows that Bo doesn't intend to change much.  I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, I don't know yet.

I know the guy can flat out coach defense and flat out coach up and move people around on defense like no one's business.  I'm confident he can assess talent overall.  I think he's super loyal to players and coaches (again, not necessarily a bad thing).

While this is somewhat cynical, I think it is also somewhat accurate. The fire has died down for night. The morning always shows the true mettle of a man. Maybe it's my eternal optimism but I think the words were sincere, and I think Bo will live up to them next year.
