East-West and 9 game sched's unanimously approved. "Competitive balance" was least of the the main concerns over alignment.

I wonder which team Nebraska's going to have to eliminate from their non-conference schedule in 2016. Northern Illinois game in Chicago?

I thought I recalled seeing speculation that that one would stay. Recruiting etc.

But if so, that will mean only six home games that year.  That would be a big financial hit.
