DeLoss admits that Texas sucks, but feels that it should be noted that they at least suck less than Missouri. Smiley

“We’re going to have good years again,” Dodds promised. “Our bad years are not that bad. Take a school like Missouri. Our bad years are better than their good years."

So, the rumors coming out of Belmont are that a former female track coach who was fired in January for NCAA violations is threatening to release the names of everyone in the UT athletic department who have had inappropriate relationships.  It's thought that Dodds assisted many of these individuals in covering up their activities, at least as far as keeping things out of the papers.  Still nothing solid, but that's the rumor as of now.

apparently the bigger ramifications could be on the academic side, this would give rick perry the ability to get rid of powers who he has been butting heads with.

yes, speculation has been that the regents really want this to happen, since they are mostly Perry loyalists by now.

Good point.  We all have been thinking it, but it needs to be written down also.

According to research cited in "The Sociopath Next Door," one in every 25 people is a sociopath.  This means they have no conscience and no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt or remorse.  They can literally do anything at all without feeling guilty.  You undoubtedly know at least one.

Bohls: Nine things and one crazy prediction

Quote
6. With Texas’ baseball team’s series loss to Kansas to fall to 19-15 and 4-8 in league play, the Longhorns are in severe jeopardy of not reaching the NCAA tournament in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1997-98. What’s worse, this would be the first school year that Texas failed to make the NCAA baseball and basketball tournaments or play in a major New Year’s Day bowl or better since 1978, when the Horns finished fifth in the Southwest Conference baseball race at 12-12, won the NIT after ushering in the Erwin Center and crushed Maryland in the Sun Bowl to complete a 9-3 year.

All due to the crappy cold weather and being far removed from recruiting hot beds. Yes, Texas sucks!
