You know, TO has been out of football for how long?

Nah. I don't think he was ever out of it. He is still so well informed, so up to date on the game. He is a genius!

I could listen to him talk football non-stop.

Doubt there is a transcript. This is a rough video of an interview done by the best sports journalist in Omaha, one funny SOB and the voice of the many Callahan's on Unsportsmanlike conduct (based on interviewers voice and the fact I know who does the Callahan voices).

This is an interview that in my estimations would have been cut up/edited to a few snipits and aired on local TV.

Exactly. Under the TO years I NEVER ONCE worried when we were down at half. Sure we didn't come back and win them all but I always felt we could come back.

Under the previous coaches I don't see how anyone could have any confidence because the halftime adjustments were nill (based on on the filed evidence andwhat we've have heard about how Joe Dailey was treated at halftime by the previous staff).

That is why I said TO is a genius and why I am so confident about this hire. TO sees all in terms of the game of football.

i just love how candid Osborne is in this clip, and he seems to see games unfold in a sensible and realistic way. there's no delusions here like we saw so often with Callahan; when something has gone wrong, Osborne knows it has gone wrong and knows what should be done differently. i suspect he sees that same quality in Bo and hopefully that's a quality that leads to constant consistent improvement.
