We need a good blocking TE even if its just a part-time job for him.

See my post above. He hates blocking. Thus the reason he is not on offense as a TE or OL.

If we want an attacking style D potter at DE aint it. Yes he has a motor, but the motor's high end is that of a lawn Boy-sorry to say. Why don't we use his size-he can gain weight I'm sure-and stick him closer to the middle. We need someone to replace Suh at NT. Allowing Suh to move more outside is a key goal of this spring as I see it.

Potter has upped his level of commitment and will be a real monster next year at DE.  He smells the NFL ... and likes it.

Does not matter what we do with Potter, we are seriously screwed on the D line next year, and just as this year, teams will push us around and run the ball.  I'm just hoping that with good coaching, a few changeups in personnel possibly, and new schemes, we can overcome our weaknesses there as much as possible until we can recruit better on the D line (which we have not done yet).

Not only did Nebraska 'finish it' but we 'messed with Texas' doing it.
The rest of the former conference can take their 11-1 votes and put them between their lips and the backside of Texas, space providing of course.

Potter is going to stay at defensive end, bank on it.  He should play at about 270 pounds this season.

Also, I don't think Bo Pelini uses a 3 technique (DT) and a 1 technique(NT) system for his tackles.  He simply uses a right and left tackle.
