compton blew that rb td swing pass.....looked incredibly slow.

He was a good 2 seconds slow in recognizing it and running to the ball. He's plenty fast, but not if he misses his read and gives the opponent a running start.

ya he read it bad, but his so called speed has not impressed me this year. hes is not noticably an athlete at lb.....

His testing times have remained impressive, but I agree he hasn't shown that speed on the field. I do, however, tend to think a lot of it has to do with indecisiveness. He definitely played like a freshman Saturday, and it wasn't the first time this season. The same could be said of Fisher.

Dillard should be the starter until either proves he isn't worthy of it or someone proves themselves to be a better all-around linebacker.

My money's on Dillard.

No doubt. He looks reborn out there.

With all the spread offenses Nebraska plays in the Big 12,the 3 linebacker set is obsolete against them. Fisher has played rarely if ever the last two games and Compton has played very little as well. Pretty strange when 1 linebacker is the norm all game, but it's where we are. Dillard has done a good job. He brings a presence they need. Martin will be another guy who will be a major force in time.

Sure helps when Dillard looks in the best shape we've seen him in some time. He looks as if he did his work over the summer. Last spring close up, you could tell he wasn't in the best of shape. Saturday I was astonished how much he has toned up since then.

As for Brooks, I was pleased by the passion he was displaying. He is a laid back young man for the most part but Saturday he looked like someone lit his fuse before the game. Just goes to show you that there is little separation between our WRs. They are pretty close together IMO. I think this trend we see someone different each week make plays continues through the rest of the season.
