Someone during the press conference asked about an injured player and Bo sayed he's okay....not sure if he was referring tp Merideth but I don't know who else they would've asked about?

I rewatched the Post-game by Bo on HuskersNSide and he did say Merideth is okay.

Bo said the same thing about Helu last year, and we all know that was far from true.  I don't know if I trust Bo to give useful injury information.

I thinks someone, earlier in this thread, said they heard that Cam had a separated shoulder.  That's not a minor injury...

Short of an arm or leg amputation, Bo is going to say everything is cool. Wink

What degree of separation was it?  It could be minor.  It could be very severe.  It obviously wasn't injured for the first time THIS game.  The mechanics point to aggravating an existing injury.  He probably took a blow to the top of his shoulder previously and has loose ligaments.  He's early enough in his career here to get it patched and not to play through the agony.  Its a good time to sit out a year to heal if its a recurring problem.

I read elsewhere that Meredith will be out for Idaho but may be back after that.  Take that with a grain of salt.....I have no idea if it is accurate.

I'm not even worried about the Washington game after seeing what BYU did.

As long as Cam is back for KSU everythings fine.

Washington does not look like world beater. Now BYU would be a tuff draw.

Even if he does seem read for washington I say rest him until Ksu. But then if we need him he is available.

Having done that multiple times already (all to the same shoulder), I can say that this is not a pleasant thing to experience. It made (and still makes) me nervous anytime there was a lot of stress on that arm. Still get nervous doing pushups or bench press.

From experience I know that the shoulder will be a problem the rest of his life!!!

Well my thought is that once the joint dislocates the tissues, tendons, etc. must endure some trauma and will likely either have damage or swelling at a minimum. I too would like to see him rested as long as possible. I know though these days there are shoulder braces that can work wonders so we'll leave it up to the professionals.

I haven't put this out there yet but Rex had a shoulder problem heading into last game and wore a brace. Was told to watch and see how he did with it and saw no problems.

I dislocated mine while wresteling and complicated it by fighting a few days later.  My shoulder has never been the same since.  When I was boxing it always weakened the quickest and would shoot pain that would make me think twice about throwing it.  I have been lucky over the last few years and have not had hardly any pain since I re_dislocated it on purpose...with a prayer it would fix it.  Thank God!!

And as you already know, while others may not...

Once you have a separated shoulder you become much more prone to have that type of injury reoccur.
