It makes no difference to anyone, but NCAA '12 is going back to the store tomorrow.

I'm pretty frustrated with it too right now, but maybe it's just my fault for sucking so bad at playing it. played my buddy online about 5 times and I have maybe 30 yards rushing total. I think he's shut me out 3 times, last time it was 9-0 so he's not doing much better. can't run, can't pass much better. I like defense as much as the next husker fan but this is ridiculous. even against the computer on all american I struggled to beat fresno st. again maybe it's just me, I just got a ps3 a few months ago but I played it on ps2 for years and wasn't this bad

It takes quite a few games to become efficient offensively. Every year in the first month, I struggle and so do the masses. But you start to figure it out and the sky is falling, this game is terrible talk tends to die down.

That's the thing, it's not the normal learning curve type of a deal. There are some major issues that there shouldn't be with a $60, midnight-release type of game.

I would still like someone to answer my Dynasty mode questions:
1. Recruiting, do you still have to sign nothing but the highest rated 4*'s and as many 5*'s as you can to even have a remotely talented team?
2a. Switching players: Does an 84 rated WR who you move to FS/SS/CB...does he still drop to a 40 or 44?
2b. Does an 84 rated running back still drop to a 50 or 52 when moved to LB?
2c. Can QB's be moved to any other position without automatically dropping to a 40?
3. What about the roster limit, is it still 70?
4. Have they fixed the "probation" portion of the game? (Having to suspend a kid for 2 or 3 games because he's, "Having too much fun" is just flat out dumb.)

1. I've only played 2 games in my dynasty so I don't know much about what you ask but I will say recruiting is WAY more in depth then the ps2. you can target 35 players at the beginning of the year instead of 3 I think it was on ps2. then you "call" them every week (well the first few weeks anyway) and you can pick topics to discuss with them, each topic taking "10 min" of your 10 hour per week recruiting time. I think I'll like recruiting once I get the hang of it.
2. haven't moved anyone yet so I don't know. sorry.
3. I think the roster limit is actually 69 now for some reason. I agree, that blows. I hate having to cut players after recruiting.
4. I haven't run into a suspension yet.

There are no suspensions, the roster limit is 70. I haven't checked the position changes except for when I try to assign an athlete and all they are good at is one or two positions. Also, Wr to Te is not good. There aren't too many great 3*'s, but over time if you are a higher rated coach, they become pretty darn good by their junior years.

Based on what I've been hearing I'm going to pass on NCAA '12. It really does sound like it's a lot of the same dumb crap and problems that have plagued the game for the past 5-6 years are still present. So there is no point in shelling out 60-65 bucks for essentially the same game, with the same problems/glitches every year.

See I hate that because it's not reality (and I realize that it is a video game after all) but as I said, if the goal of the game is to get as much realism into it then that means, at least to me, that the realism should be across all facets of the game. In real life there are numerous really talented 3* rated kids who come in and are ready to play right away...and they're on just about every team in college football.
Totally different conversation alert: Based on what you said, to me that speaks to an agenda that the makers of this game have. They want to condition people to think that signing anything less than 4*'s means you'll have a team that will be "talentless." In some respects they are succeeding because there have been Husker fans on this very site who have bemoaned that fact that Nebraska is signing a bunch of lowly 3* or other team's "leftovers" -- but I terribly digress.
So yeah, based on what I've heard, I'll pass on '12...
