I'm surprised Davie didn't stay with announcing where he had it made? I hope leach gets hired on somewhere, i love watching his teams.
Well... Leach is at Washington State. I'm going to follow them a little closer next year. I think Leach is one of the best offensive minds in CFB right now.
Leach is going have an incredibly tough road ahead as well. When Leach was at Texas Tech he could draw on a vast pool of talent where football is considered at least as important as brisket and BBQ. At WSU, he has no where near the in-state talent to draw from and most people could care less about the Cougars.
Watch... and be amazed. WSU has talent on their roster. And Leach will get that team to a bowl game next year. It'll be a lower end bowl, but a bowl none the less. The folks in eastern Washington believe Leach to be a savior of that program. Given what Leach did at Texas Tech, I think they're right.

Frank is a great football coach and he's proven it at every level he's coached at. History will treat him much better than his previous boss did.

He was a great assistant coach at Nebraska. He was not a great head coach here. Devaney and Osborne were great head coaches. Solich doesn't rise to that level.

While he may not have been a "great" coach here (not sure of the qualifications), he was a very good one that was treated unfairly by a disgraceful human being. Just my opinion, this program would be in much better shape today if he remained, and was allowed to mature in to the position, the same way we are hoping our current head coach does (10 years later).

Blah blah blah. I think we've all seen the arguments. Good-great-bad-horrible-mediocre. It's all semantics.
He was and still is a great coach IMHO. There simply aren't very many at any level that are or were better. He's won multiple COY honors, coached a Heisman winner, coached in the National Championship game, won outright conference championships.
He was simply run out of town by a weasel who listened to the loud and boisterous Internet minority.
