2012 NCAA Tourney

Chris I agree with you.  The culture of Nebraska's basketball program need to change.  There's no reason to be bad or just average for so long.

Some of us in here do perpetuate the fights.  Let's not pretend that there isn't some trolling going on here either.  After the regular season, we all had some great discussions and were getting a long just fine.  So....

Going forward, this thread will be about the NCAA Tourney.  If you want to talk reasonably about the Creighton game, that's fine as they are still playing in the tournament.  If you are a Creighton fan trying to troll, please post in the Creighton thread that Tfree started.  If you are a Husker fan looking to bash Creighton, please use that thread as well.  There you can fight and argue as much as you want (within reason).

We obviously can't have fighting in every thread, for true basketball fans, this is a great place to discuss basketball topics.  So, going forward, this will be the rule until after the tournament.  This thread will stay fight free.  If the rule is broken (from either side) I will simply delete your post.  Argue all you want (if you must) in the Creighton thread. 

So that's how this thread will continue on until after the NCAA Tourney or until my Mod status gets taken away.

Duke lost.  That's a shocker.  I'm not sure Duke had a shot at a title this year, but Mizzou did.  Both out in one day?  Wow!

Mizzou got beat by a better team, no luck involved.

I'm glad Mizzou lost, that's for sure.  Do you really believe that Norfolk State is a Top 10 basketball team? 

I believe the gap between all of these teams is not as great as you think. these are not really upsets, were they to have the opportunity to play in the regular season there would be as many wins for non bcs schools as there are in the dance. its about match ups, not conference power.

Just because you are from a power conference doesn't mean much outside of the fact you play a much harder schedule than mid-majors and should be rewarded as such come NCAA Tourney time.  I might buy what your selling if you were talking about Xavier or Gonzaga......but we are talking about Norfolk State.  There is a big gap in my opinion.  They could play that game another 99 times and Mizzou would probably win every single time.  Right time, right place.  I'm a little shocked that you are saying that this wasn't an upset.  Vegas would say otherwise.

I tend to agree with Lopers on this one.  Norfolk State got drilled by Illinois State by 36 this year and lost to a division II team as well.  That's part of what makes the NCAA tourney so great; anything can happen on a given night.
