It would seem like a seesaw race between PJ Smith and C. Osborne for the 2nd safety position. PJ has started only 4 times and Courtney probably a dozen games over the last 2 years. Whoever starts in game 1 may not finish as a starter. That is just the way Bo handles the safeties. If you are inconsistent as a safety you will get yanked and the job will go to somebody. Whaley may be getting a lof of press but Santos is still raw. Look for Santos to feel more comfortable entering fall camp. Whaley will also have a very talented JUCO to compete with. I expect that Whaley could be moved to SLB to compete with Fischer. I just do not think Pirman is ready to be among the top 6. Antonio Bell will not play. Good CB's show their talent early. It is one position that allows for a guy to rely on his athleticism. Seisay and Green will start with A wide open race for the backups. Steven Osborne was not mentioned yesterday by  coach Fischer, but two walkons were mentioned. Steven will be the latest edition of a wasted scholarship at WR.  Let's add Krinkenmeir to the list. He will not see the field at LB. he was a token offer by TO and was never a Div 1 caliber player.Carter? Not one comment by coaches that I can remember. He passes the eyeball test. He now has a year in the system. He could start or he could see no action. He is probably the least predictable of the group.

Does a Spring depth chart actually exist?

Actually, Kreikemeier was listed as being in the LB depth mix at Buck just this week.

Not fair at all to put Carter there.  No really fair to put Whaley there either as he played last year.  PJ?  He played too.  Only Steven and Antonio deserve to be on the list imo.

I disagree. None of the guys on this list, except for probably C.O., has had much of an impact during their time here.

Agree.  I vote none.
