Best player in the KC metro.....
http://www.kansascity.com/2012/04/05/3539104/sumners-parker-wins-2012-direnna.htmlOne of the smartest thing TIm Miles has done thus far is honor his scholarship (Parker committed under Doc). Miles was recruiting Parker at Colorado State, so I'm glad everything worked out. I think he's going to have a very good career here. Quick, good handles, fast release....I really like his shot. He's a slightly larger version of Cookie Miller. I think he's got a little bit of a scorer's mentality, which is something we need. Not saying he as the mentality of Spencer or Lue, but he won't be afraid one bit to shoot an open shot.
I said a while back that I think he will run with the thing for 3 or 4 years. I still think that he will. A lot of people think that if Biggs does come here, he's just going to walk in and start. Very well could happen as Biggs is more experienced, bigger, and just as athletic if not more so than Parker. I'd be willing to be that it's a pretty good battle though. As much as I want Biggs here, he wouldn't have won KC metro player of the year, that's for sure.
