7 RBIs for Scheffert in this game, 10 on the weekend.  3 home runs, 1 per game this weekend, a batting average over .371 on the year.  Should be all-Big 10 this week, and probably for the season.  Flirting with All-America status if he stays hot through the rest of the season.

Guy was hitting .220 last year.

Look what good coaching can do!

I don't know and/or forget why Kansas City decided not to make a deal to play downtown, but oh god, this town went nuts when they opted to build another stadium.  The whole baseball stadium issue basically enraged the citizens so much that they forced the Mayor to not seek another term (police and firefighter contracts being highly corrupt and destroying our budget didn't help either, but baseball stadiums got a lot more whining than was necessary.  Then the geniuses of Omaha elected the man endorsed by the guy they screamed out of office Huh)

At any rate, I don't remember hearing of any decisions by the Big 10 yet.  Ohio is only scheduled to host the event for this year (they had a 3-year deal that started in 2010).  I'm hoping to all whatever that they announce a new venue along with some serious rules upgrades to help the conference try and catch up to the rest of the power conferences (revamp scholarship issues with oversigning and for god's sake, a 10-run rule, Ohio State's pitcher could have been needlessly injured off that ground ball he took off the pitching hand) Embarrassed

The Royals wanted to play in a smaller stadium, with all of the things like playgrounds for kids, and other entertainment. They got tired of playing in front of 3000 at the Blatt, and it looked like a ghost town. They also wanted to be out west, cuz Omahan's that live west of 680 don't want to have to travel to scary old downtown or South Omaha for their entertainment. TD Ameritrade wouldn't have been any different than the Blatt.

That sounds right, I wouldn't disagree with them on the first part, Werner feels more like a minor league park then TD Ameritrade.  But I don't know anybody here out west who finds TD Ameritrade or the Qwest/CenturyLink Center scary.  The Old Market is full of nothing but hipsters and a few hobos.  My dad has seen for himself the crime that goes on not far from there, though.  Prostitutes, break-ins and other weird stuff going on right outside and occasionally inside the building he worked in...

Where is "there"?  Just curious.

Around 29th street, about 2 miles from the Qwest Center, as it was then.  I also hit a party a couple years ago in a different downtown neighborhood where we had some drunk guy attempt to sell my brother-in-law and myself some food stamps.  We of course declined, and after we left somebody supposedly vandalized some houses or cars near the house, we assumed it was the same guy upset that we wouldn't buy his coupons that we would not have been able to use legally Cool Good times.

And to point out something related to this particular game, do remember this will be on the Big 10 Network today (Tuesday) at 2 p.m.  No midweek game here today or tomorrow.

Certainly not.  Drink yourself into a stupor.  And then blame the hangover on your Psych professor.
