And if anybody didn't notice, Purdue's lost 2 games to UCLA already and fell behind 7-0 today, still trail by 3.  So Purdue is who we thought they were Angry Shocked Tongue A pretty good team (too cocky for my taste with their "Dream Team" garbage and bat-throwing), but not going far in the overall NCAA-sphere.

4 walks in the first 5 at-bats of the 9th gave Purdue momentum and they wind up salvaging game 3.  As bad as our pitchers and bullpen have struggled at times, I don't recall the guys blowing a 5 run lead in the 9th with the possible exception of the Gonzaga series (I forget the leads blown there and don't care to be reminded.)  I'm also fairly confident they've maxed out at 8 runs in one inning, not 10.  I think the Bruins are trying to make our pitchers feel better about themselves Cool

According to research cited in "The Sociopath Next Door," one in every 25 people is a sociopath.  This means they have no conscience and no ability whatsoever to feel shame, guilt or remorse.  They can literally do anything at all without feeling guilty.  You undoubtedly know at least one.

Yep.....I didn't like it either. The program has a ways to go to get back to Van Horn's glory days............but we have to remember that Dave struggled in his first year as well.

A new kid committed this week, Wes Edrington, SS from Indiana.  Chose Nebraska over Arkansas and Stanford, so the next person who has any questions about Erstad's recruiting, yeah, tell 'em that.  The future looks OK.

Darin touched on this subject in an interview. You want good players.......but not so good they're ready for the pros immediately. It';s a fine line, and one that all college programs walk.
