I won't be home tonight, so have at it.  Michigan is throwing their ace tonight, I guess to keep him on schedule for regionals Undecided Roll Eyes  Nebraska has clinched a spot, rendering these last two games irrelevant, and given the mental makeup Nebraska has shown so far this season I would not be surprised if either team wins by 10 runs.

Upcoming Big 10 Tournaments will be held in Minneapolis (2013), and a little joint up the road called TD Ameritrade Park (2014).

Quote
Husker baseball head coach Darin Erstad minced no words on his postgame radio show.

“Garbage, absolute garbage all the way around,” he said. “We had four bunts we didn’t get down. We walked seven and were absolute garbage. We try to stay positive and get on them. We may get a bad call on a pitch, but throw six balls in a row after that. We talk about handling adversity and we will continue to do so.

“But if we play like that we won’t be in Columbus very long.”

Wow, that's a little harsh, not that I mind, that's what Erstad's supposed to do.  They threw their ace who had several complete games, blah blah blah.  He's about the only decent pitcher Michigan has.  The only concern is if we can outscore them tomorrow.  Indiana already locked up the #2 seed this afternoon by virtue of their series win over OSU, so we're not playing for much.

Actually, I love it. I don't want to see it after every game we lose but now and then................everyone needs to know what they do matters. This fact includes players and assistant coaches. Again, not every game or every time, but once in awhile............

The team will probably need a few more kicks in the pants before the stank of the previous coaching staff wears off.  Erstad's white-hot hatred of losing games (plus not using youth, particularly in the pitching staff, as an excuse) is definitely a welcome change.
